This is a powerful and gritty library of heavy textures and transitions. Created by destroying 8mm film rolls in a variety of ways, we discovered what we now call Alchemy. While exploring the interactions between chemicals and silver halides on film strips, the results were wild patterns - reminiscent of film burns but much more unhinged. Proceed with caution!

Embrace the chaos.

Some effects are more gentle and almost look like film burns, but with more character.

The almost "static noise" looking pattern is a super interesting look that looks great on top of footage.

Other sections have a much more pronounced chemical look where the negatives were stripped.

The jagged and scratchy look provides a ton of texture to the image but also works as a stand alone transition.

One of the most gritty looks we offer, Alchemy_01 is made from a variety of Kodak 8mm film stocks. We wanted to create something unique that would make an edit stand out - it's a completely original pack; these effects can't be found anywhere else online.

"Alchemy_01" is a raw collection of destroyed film looks, where the chemistry of film unfolds before your eyes. These experiments are perfect for injecting your edits with explosive, gritty textures.
We grew tired of using the same 5 films burns in every project, so we decided to build out a much more vast and cohesive library of burns. The uniform looks means your edit will stay cohesive without having to re-use assets over and over.
Every asset we make is a drag and drop element. All you have to do is change the "blend mode", so that you can focus on getting your edit done.

Resolution and sizing.

To make sure that our assets meet streaming standards and retain their quality, we scan our files at the highest possible resolution, 6200x4848px. This means that if you don't want the perforation of the 8mm overscan to be visible, you can easily resize the file and still stay in 4K UHD.
